This week’s theme for those of you reaching for a better life is; Strive.
To strive is to reach, to try, to dance with the muse of your own creative force until what swirls around your mind is pulled into reality.
There is a road out there. You see it, don’t you? That endless black ribbon baking in the sun yawning to the horizon. It calls to the deepest most fearless part of you, begging you to race the length. You don’t know where it’s going, only that you have to be on it. It goes through the heart of your dreams.
There are mountains far away. You see them, don’t you? They stretch to the sky, reaching like purple-gray earthly pillars holding up the tattered canopy of night where stars peek through. They make your heart race. You don’t know how high they are, only that you have to climb them. From the top you will see your dreams.
There is an ocean lapping at the shore. You see it, don’t you? The waves pulse with the hidden rhythms of the moon and earth. The life in the infinite ocean teems beneath the surface. It stretches and pulses blue-green to the edge of the world. It pulls at your most care-free spirit. You don’t know how far but you know you must cross. In crossing, you will bathe in the warmth of your dreams.
There is a world at your feet. It throbs and hums with life seen and unseen. You know it’s out there, beyond the little pixilated words of your cold screen, beyond the resistance that binds your ankles to the ground, beyond all the fear-leaden excuses you’ve fed yourself.
Out there is the life you have yet to live as the you that is yet to be. Right now, there is only you. You and your dreams. You and the choice to strive, drive, leap, dive, climb and reach.
It’s out there. You see it, don’t you? It calls to you, pulls you, sings to you in your sleep. It promises you everything you know you are worth and it’s all yours for the taking.
All you need is the courage to strive as if your life depends on it.
Because it does..
